Star Trails  are an interesting photographic subject.  They are formed by the rotation of the earth.  By focusing in the North Star (Polaris) and taking either a long time exposure or a series of medium term exposures, we can get the dramatic circle of stars.  When we shoot at a angle to the North Star we get interesting lines of stars.

I really enjoy the very quiet time shooting the star trails admiring the vastness of space and the hidden color in the dark night skies.
